Goldington Islamic Community Centre has been established to serve the spiritual, educational, and community needs of East Bedford, addressing the long-standing absence of a local masjid in the area. The centre provides a trusted and welcoming space where faith is lived with excellence and people feel a genuine sense of connection and belonging.
Rooted in the Qur’an and Sunnah, the centre advances the religion of Islam through daily worship, Islamic education, and community programmes that nurture faith, character, and responsibility. A strong focus is placed on supporting reverts, young people, and sisters, ensuring an inclusive environment where individuals are respected, supported, and able to grow with confidence.
Goldington Islamic Community Centre is guided by a board of trustees and supported by an advisory panel, bringing together religious leadership, governance, and community insight. With a clear commitment to accountability, sustainability, and long-term stewardship, the centre is established to serve Bedford with integrity and lasting benefit for generations to come.

Our Mission
Our mission is to:
- Establish and sustain a local masjid for the five daily prayers, Jumu’ah, and regular gatherings rooted in the Qur’an and Sunnah.
- Deliver high-quality Qur’an and Islamic education for children, young people, and adults, nurturing faith, character, and understanding.
- Provide a welcoming, inclusive space that supports reverts, sisters, and young people with dignity, care, and consistency.
- Engage families, professionals, and volunteers to contribute their time, skills, and experience in service of the community.
- Strengthen community cohesion through openness, kindness, and shared responsibility, while engaging positively with wider society.
